Forecast reasoning
Most forecasts show LA's high around 84-86°F versus Miami's 83-84°F, giving LA a slight edge, but forecast uncertainty and Miami's potential to reach the upper range keep the probability modest at 21%.

Resolution criteria: - "Yes": Wins if the official daily high temperature recorded at Los Angeles, CA (KLAX or downtown LA station) on Oct 19, 2026 (local time, strictly after 2026-10-19T03:18:19.981Z and covering the full calendar day of Oct 19, 2026 local time, with the final observed high confirmed at or before 2026-10-20T12:00:00Z) is strictly greater than the official daily high temperature recorded at Miami, FL (KMIA or downtown Miami station) for the same calendar day under the same confirmation deadline. - "No": Wins if the official daily high temperature recorded at Los Angeles, CA on Oct 19, 2026 local time is less than or equal to the official daily high temperature recorded at Miami, FL for the same calendar day, confirmed at or before 2026-10-20T12:00:00Z. Clarifications: - "Daily high temperature" means the highest observed surface air temperature (°F) logged at the primary official reporting station for each city across the full calendar day of October 19, 2026 in each city's local time zone (Los Angeles: Pacific Time; Miami: Eastern Time), as published by NOAA/NWS or an equivalent authoritative weather data provider. - If the final daily high for either city has not been officially published by 2026-10-20T12:00:00Z, the resolver should use the highest observed temperature available from station records up to that deadline.
